Marketing Manager for a major UK IT/Telecoms solutions provider

Circa £45k-£55k base plus bonus (TBC) and benefits

Home based (but required to attend London office 2 days a week).

Overview

Out client is a major UK provider of IT and telecoms solutions to enterprise customers. The focus of this role will be to drive acquisition of our solution amongst office landlords, with a key focus on flexible workspaces. They will be able to distil technical information, into language that can be understood by large corporates and SMEs alike.

Purpose of role

The purpose of this role is to lead the rollout of the new brand and drive market growth. Working closely with the sales team to increase quality leads, conversion rates and ultimately drive new business.

The role will work closely with the Customer Marketing Manager to ensure brand consistency across all stages of the customer journey.

This is a small team so the ideal candidate will need to be able to shift between strategic thinking to the doing work involved in creating content to support the business and sales team.

Core responsibilities

Leadership
  • Develop a leadership role - managing time for strategic thinking, team management, stakeholder management, tactical delivery, reporting analysis and forward planning
  • Support direct report (Customer Marketing Manager), providing structure and guidance as well as seeking opportunities to further their personal development
  • Deliver the development review process with direct report, with regular feedback on progress

Brand
  • Lead the successful roll out of the new brand business-wide, with particular focus across acquisition communications and platforms
  • Act as brand custodian, ensuring consistent application across all communications, both internally and externally
  • Support sales team with transition to new messaging
  • Support with HR with brand onboarding and culture workshops

Communications
  • Creation of all campaign collateral including email (HubSpot)
  • Maintaining the website CMS
  • Creation of thought leadership content (copywriting; SEO)
  • Management of social media channels (Twitter; LinkedIn; Instagram)
  • Analysing website content (Google Analytics) and seeking opportunities to improve UX

Acquisition
  • Creation and execution of annual marketing plan with key focus on demand generation
  • Work closely with sales team to understand key target audiences and agree tactical application of marketing strategy to set budget. Execute accordingly.
  • Ensure content library of campaign content is available to sales team (created/updated as required)
  • Work closely with Customer Marketing Manager to leverage opportunities to communicate and upsell to existing customers

Internal and customer communications
  • Collaborate with the Customer Marketing Manager to ensure all internal and customer communications align with the wider marketing plan
  • Support Customer Marketing Manager in execution of all customer communications across HubSpot, as and when required
  • Own our relationship with Workspace, a key partner in the Connected space

Insights & Reporting
  • Create templated report to go to senior leadership team periodically (monthly) to demonstrate campaign activity
  • Present monthly overview of return on investment

Values & competencies
  • 2+ years in a previous marketing manager or similar role
  • Understanding of the principles of marketing and marketing best practice
  • Sales and customer oriented
  • Good understanding of digital processes and creating communications campaigns
  • Experience of the Adobe Suite, preferably InDesign
  • Enthusiastic and hardworking team player
  • Knowledge of HubSpot for both CRM and marketing automation ideal but not essential
  • Knowledge of the CRE sector ideal but not essential
