Are you a psychology graduate interested in joining a national mental health charity who have won awards for being a great employer (investors in people) with work life balance being a key focus (which was underlined by their glass door reviews).
Please note: This is a 1-year FTC subject to extension (maternity cover), and you must have access to your own vehicle.
If successful, the earliest start date for this role is Jun 2022, and latest is Jul 2022.
The main purpose is supporting people with mental health support needs around employment. This could involve helping them to retain their current job. Here you could be liaising with employers or attending disciplinary meetings. As well as liaising with other professionals such as GP's to facilitate returning to work.
You will also be supporting those who are actively seeking work. So you will assess transferable skills, look at career aspirations, help them apply for jobs, prepare for interviews, whilst managing existing anxieties about returning to work.
You will work with a caseload of 35. Clients could have mild to severe mental health support needs, and can be referred across via GP's, housing providers, IAPT or drug & alcohol services.
There are targets to meet but you will work as a team to achieve this
You will be based at their HQ in Central Cambridge. Part of this role is community work and some outreach could include going to Ely or Wisbech.
Give Lawrence/David a call for an informal chat (contact details are on our Red 5 People website)
The charity are keen to hear from psychology graduates, employment advisors, support workers or anyone who has demonstrated an interest in mental health, or who has worked with people with mental health support needs previously.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM
Interviews will take place ASAP (TBC if via MS Teams or In-Person)
