Able Bridge Recruitment are supporting a prominent accountancy practice in the recruitment of a strategic and highly important position of outsourcing team leader. The role can be based out of several key locations, however ideally the successful applicant will be based in either Glenrothes or Edinburgh.
The role will report into the accounts and audit manager and will be accountable for 2 members of staff.
The organisation are privately financed and are in a growth phase of their journey, with this role holder being seen as part of the long term succession plan.
The outsourcing team is responsible for the bookkeeping services that our client provides. The team leader of this role will be the primary point of contact for escalations internally and externally for query resolution. They will also be accountable for the planning and pre-empting of day-to-day activities for the team. This applicant will also be accountable for the more complex customers and provide training and mentoring to the team.
On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Ensure that the pipeline of outsourcing work is scheduled and organised to avoid surges in workload.
Mentor, supervise and assist 2 bookkeepers as well as growing the team as the business follows its expansion plans.
Work closely with a range of clients who have complex accounting and bookkeeping requirements and take a lead on the completion of their bookkeeping requirements.
Assist the accounting & audit managers in the completion of management accounts for a number of clients.
Review cloud based products ensuring that cloud technology is optimised by clients and that they are educated to seeing the benefits of using cloud based solutions.
Design cloud solutions, with input from your team and clients, that will aid efficient bookkeeping and account production.
It is essential that candidates will come from a bookkeeping or accounting background within an accountancy practice setting. We ideally would like to see professionally qualified applicants, however qualified by experience would be considered. Team management will be an important part of the role, however we would equally consider applicants who are hungry to take the next step in their career of applicants who have previously supervised or managed staff in the past. Planning and delivery are two critical factors in this role and we are seeking an individual who will take full ownership of the post.
