FINANCE OFFICER Required for new Special School in Orpington **

Currently a Finance Officer or experienced Finance Assistant?
Have you worked in either a PRU/ Mainstream School/ Alternative Provision/ SEN School OR SEN Provision as either a Finance Officer OR experienced Finance Assistant?
Are you in easy commutable distance to Orpington? New average sized SEN School located in Orpington is recruiting a Finance Officer who is available to start worked immediately. This is a full time 5 day a week temp to perm position (for the right person)
Children who attend this New Special School have been diagnosed with varied SEN ie PMLD / SLD/ ASD/ ASC/ Complex Needs/ Learning Difficulties/ Physical Difficulties. This is an impressive school which has state-of -the art- facilities. Supportive and welcoming staff in this school. You would be reporting to the Assistant School Business Manager who is an exemplary manager and leader. As Finance Officer you will have an effective part in the school admin team with direct responsibility for Finance. Additionally, contributing to planning, operation, development & monitoring of the support services function within school.
**This position is to start in April 2022 so you MUST have an in date Enhanced DBS with the update service and you must have worked in a school setting**
The Successful School Finance Officer / Experienced Finance Officer must have experience in the following;
Leading in monitoring, planning and evaluation of budget
Managing and supporting general administrative procedures.
Managing financial admin procedures (using a financial management system)
Ensuring that all the necessary school typing and duplication of material for parents, staff, Governing Body and the relevant Sub-Committees
Recording the school income and expenditure (Preparing cheques for signature, complete monthly bank reconciliations, VAT returns, cash flow analysis and financial returns etc)
Ensuring the school complies with FMSiS requirements & maintaining the school's Financial Procedures manual.
Manage procurement & advising best value to ensure the school is achieving value for money.
Managing the administration of the Payroll system.
Experience in being responsible for the management of the expenditure within an agreed budget (inc; Pupil Premium).
Providing consistent monthly reports to the School Business Manager and Head.
Liaising with teaching staff in regards to their individual budgets.
Providing a detailed analysis & evaluation of data and producing detailed reports/information as required.
Managing the school dinner online payments / money system
