Major Players have a great Account Manager position in the North West for an agency who have been creating global event experiences for their clients since 2004! They partner with some of the world's biggest brands across the retail, FMCG, financial, automotive, tech, pharma, hospitality and public sectors. You will be on one of their largest tech giant accounts targeted at a B2B audience.

The Role / Company

This agency produce corporate, public, outdoor, experiential, virtual/hybrid events and exhibitions. They have most of their services and talent in-house allowing a truly 'joined-up' and seamless approach. With content at the heart of the project's scope, the role has exposure to a variety of project deliverables including video production, digital broadcast and CRM.

You will be responsible for managing smaller projects and supporting larger ones across the account effectively by planning and organising all components - ensuring great creative is executed professionally, on time, on brand and in budget. This role is client facing, so you're great at building relationships and rapport, and comfortable communicating and presenting. You will be joining a core project team of 4 and be part of a wider account team of 8. You will also have dedicated a resource and be part of a super friendly office!

Based in Cheshire; you will be working on a hybrid basis, with 2 days a week in the office. This may increase at times of peak delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Play an important role within the account team as line manager to your Account Executive(s) ensuring best working practices are adopted and a high standard of work is always adhered to
  • Effective project management through the full lifecycle using project governance as directed by the client - escalating issues and proactively resolving problems, managing project resource and spend and making critical decisions
  • Have a good understanding of clients' needs and objectives and be able to clearly relay that to others
  • Managing client relationships, ensuring a consistent level of service is delivered, being a 'go to' member of the team
  • Work closely with clients to create strong concepts from initial briefing
  • Work closely with creatives to develop a brief from beginning to end
  • Have appropriate responsibility and autonomy for account management, budgeting and delivery support across the projects within your team
  • Understand the importance of brands and working within brand guidelines
  • Run account meetings and take responsibility for service levels and KPIs
  • Directly support your Senior Account Manager / Account Director ensuring best working practices are adopted and challenging efficient ways of working
  • Maintaining team planners and processes, as well as providing training on standard systems and procedures
  • Ensuring all financial management processes are adhered to in a timely manner
  • Making recommendations to improve efficiencies and streamline processes
  • Oversight of weekly live delivery, including troubleshooting and reporting post event

Skills & Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven project and budget management skills
  • Excellent client engagement skills with the ability to proactively organise and influence clients and build strong and effective working relationships
  • Exceptional organisational skills, work prioritisation, time management and attention to detail
  • Good communication, influencing and negotiation skills, both internally and externally
  • The ability to manage both individual and project workloads and identifying challenges and risks within them, along with the mitigation and solution
  • Executional rigour, competent in multitasking and great organisational skills
  • Competent in presenting and communicating updates to clients
  • Ability to interpret a client brief and to manage internal and external teams to deliver the best possible results for the client
  • Experience of working alongside an in-house studio and being conversant with studio processes
  • A real team player with a can-do attitude and a willingness to take on responsibility
  • Excellent problem-solving solutions and ability to work under pressure and at pace
  • Excellent financial and budget management skills
  • Commercial approach to delivering projects to deadlines and within budget

Salary & Perks

Location - Flexible hybrid working policy with 2 days in the Cheshire office.

Salary - £32,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
