Part Time Health & Safety Manager - NEBOSH
£21,875 (FTE £35,000)
Part Time - 25 hours per week
Who we are:
Established in 1947, we are a family business that has steadily grown to become one of the more influential dealerships in the South of England. With just over 200 people in the team, we supply and support machinery to the Groundcare, Construction and Agricultural markets, a mix that has allowed us to weather the toughest of economic times.
Our focus is ‘Sales with Service’ whereby we aim to provide the very highest levels of after sales care to our well-established customer base, something that led us to be awarded the Kubota Gold Plus award for service excellence.
About the role:
We are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager - a bright, practical, proactive individual who can work with us to engage the whole team and ensure that policies are adopted that create a safe environment for our staff and customers alike.
At the heart of the work will be regular depot visits so we can be confident all existing policies are working at branch level and provide training where gaps are found. These visits will also create action lists for work that needs to be undertaken – either by members of the team, by outside contractors or simply changes that you could initiate. This work will be signed off with regular meetings with our MD and therefore, the decision-making process is as straightforward as possible.
You will also work on a group basis to ensure that companywide policies are both relevant and current, and of course identifying and creating new policies where gaps are found.
A full list of duties is available on request, but it’s not exhaustive - essentially, we are looking for someone who will grow with our organisation and so if you have had around 3 years’ experience in a similar role and have already obtained NEBOSH accreditation then we will happily support you with all further relevant training throughout your career.
