Optimum Recruitment Group are recruiting for an Interim Finance Director for an initial period of 6 months for this specialist manufacturing business based near Wakefield.
The interim Finance Director will maintain effective control over the Company's finance function whilst working with the senior management and board team on key strategic issues and development. The appointment will need to support and guide our client through a period of change. Commitment to the contract is essential.
Your duties will include:
* To be responsible for the production of accurate monthly management accounts and supporting commentary for presentation to the board in accordance with reporting deadlines.
* To be responsible for the production of the yearly forecast ensuring it is an accurate representation of the working model.
* In conjunction with the senior management team, develop and improve the current reporting mechanisms used to produce management accounting information to improve efficiency and aid decision making.
* Working with other areas of the business, ensure the development of policies, systems and processes that meet the changing business needs.
* To be responsible for managing cash for the business within set parameters, including regular cashflow forecasting and reporting.
* To oversee product costing and ensure quoting prices and information remain up to date.
* To be responsible for compliance with all Statutory/HMRC reporting requirement.
* To manage, motivate, develop and recruit all members of the finance team.
* To develop and maintain good relationships with external advisors and the bank as required.
* To negotiate utility, insurance and leasing contracts as they fall due for renewal.
* To be an active member of the leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and development.
What you'll need to succeed
* A recognised accountancy qualification.
* Experience of operational finance for an SME business.
* Demonstrable track record of developing control systems and processes in response to changing business needs.
* Strong influencing skills and the ability to work successfully with the senior management team.
