As a Senior Strategic Communications Officer you'll play a vital role in supporting on the development and implementation of strategic campaign and communication activities that will drive the delivery of the City for All priorities through information and behaviour change campaigns, informed by sophisticated customer insight.

About the role

Based in Westminster, you will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives including:

Developing outline plans identifying the most effective interventions, channels and tools to engage audiences, influence perceptions, change behaviour or deliver policy.
Delivering a range of coordinated activity across the marketing and communications mix to deliver the best outcomes.
Monitoring and reporting on effectiveness of campaigns and make recommendations to improve delivery.
Scanning and interpreting the local government and communications landscape to identify and help to manage the risk and maximise the opportunities
About you
The ideal candidate for this position will have:

Experience of working on pro‐active communication strategies using a variety of tools, techniques and channels with minimal supervision
Experience of handling sensitive enquires that require liaising with stakeholders and external agencies to minimise reputational risk
Experience of working in a political environment, skills in understanding and responding to different perspectives and taking a cross-organisational perspective
Education to a degree level, or hold a marketing / communications qualification, or equivalent by experience.
Experience is also preferable in:

Working in a democratic environment, conscious of an apolitical approach.
Being a good communicator at all levels and able to build effective relationships quickly.

What's on offer

Salary: £200-£250+ per day (may negotiable higher for the right candidate)
