This is a challenging, interesting senior level hybrid opportunity working across both our Finance and IT functions. The role will also involve change/project and people management with 7 direct reports.

What you will be doing:
  • To lead the Oracle Fusion, Oracle BI, Oracle DRM, Oracle HFM, Trintech Certification, Trintech Reconnet and EDM CBD\EBD financial systems teams to support the wider Finance division and business
  • To support wider system activities, managing the System Finance team; supporting the business (including Business Process Owners BPO/ super users) and the financial reporting process
  • Lead the strategy on Finance and Finance related reporting Systems.
  • Drive forward strategy to find and implement suitable system replacements in line with suitable operating models
  • Lead the utilisation of the Oracle suite to maximise asset utilisation
  • To oversee patch processes across all Finance systems: perform impact assessment for the functional areas and implement functional testing & delivery of latest patch releases in DEV/ UAT environment through to production
  • Capture requirements for small/ medium & large change requests from the business (recorded in JIRA)
  • Planning and Delivery of operating model for all Fusion related changes. Both project based and BAU.
  • Ensure all integrations for Finance Systems are managed and maintained
  • Lead the system accounts and the control over the Fusion configuration workbook and prioritise the system accountants' workload for the necessary configuration changes in a timely manner
  • Management of queries, Service Now queues, defects and SRs - facilitating between the business, Fujitsu support, Oracle Functional Helpdesk, OMC, Oracle Virtual Maintenance Team (VMT), Trintech and EDM
  • Other ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities to ensure an efficient and effective finance system department

Why we'd love you to apply:
  • Knowledge & understanding of Fusion/ OBIA and DRM and system configurations
  • Knowledge of ERP systems approach to releases and patches and interpretation of release notes
  • Prior work experience in a related role
  • Good understanding of accounting principles (P&L, BS, Cashflow)
  • Understanding of hierarchies, master data and the relationship between good DRM management and value adding reporting output
  • Graduate-calibre 2.1 or above
  • Excellent inter-personal skills: including communicating & influencing financial & non-financial colleagues at all levels within the business
  • Team management experience
  • Managing projects
  • OBIA report writing
  • Analytical skills - ability to identify core issues and provide assessments grounded in compelling logic
  • Strong systems and Excel skills. Ability to work with large volumes of data
  • Flexibility, well organised, ability to prioritise workload and work autonomously
