Workshop Supervisor
Banbury
Day shift
12-week rolling contract
£35 per hour
The workshop supervisor is responsible for the day to day safe and efficient running of the prototype workshop. Reporting to the build manager and the key element of this role is to work with the build leadership team and technicians to ensure the daily targets for build progress are met.
Responsibilities:
Run daily stand ups with the build team to set the scope of the day/week
Assist where possible in the planning of build activities and part availability
Report daily status to build management about the progress
Enforce policies regarding working hours, behaviour and Health and Safety
Ensure working areas are kept clean and tidy throughout the day
Communication across teams to solve any build issues or shortages
Ownership of fasteners and workshop tooling requests and re-stocking
Highlight opportunities process improvement and implement where possible
Key Experience:
Previous experience in low volume production/prototype setting
Previous engineering/manufacturing experience
Microsoft office proficient
Excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to communicate well to a broad range of stakeholders within the business
A positive and professional attitude always
