We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager with experience of Bids and Proposals to join a provider of award-winning apprenticeships and adult learning & development programmes to over 7,000 people a year across multiple industries.

The Senior Business Development Manager Opportunity:

As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will lead a variety of business development projects. Working directly with the excom you will engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify, pursue, and successfully convert appropriate opportunities across the sectors in which we operate. As well as ensuring that all activities related to the submission of successful bids and proposals are completed, you will lead the development of winning operational solutions and compelling commercial propositions.

About You:

+ We’re looking for positive people who are passionate about growing the business
+ Excellent project and programme management skills
+ Commercially astute and numerate with a strong business sense
+ Successful track record of proposals and bidding to UK Government/OJEU and commercial and VSCE organisations
+ Ability to produce content quickly, and to a high standard, in order to meet challenging bid deadlines
+ Skills to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation
+ Ability to think innovatively
+ Proven ability to deliver projects to time, quality, and budget
+ Proven ability to drive multiple stakeholders to deliver quality outputs to time and budget
+ Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and work to multiple deadlines
+ The ability to anticipate and resolve problems proactively
+ Creative mind, evidenced through degree or equivalent level study
+ A strong empathy with both the learners and employers who are likely to use our services.
+ You might also have (desirable, and not essential)…
+ Formal proposal or bid writing qualification
+ A qualification that relates directly to teaching and learning
+ Experience leading a business development team
+ Experience in work-based learning
