API Developer (Fully Remote) - Java/Golang - Microservices - Permanent

Logikk are working with one of the world's largest consultancies who are looking for an experienced API Developer to join their innovation team of 40+. You will need to be based in the UK, but the position is fully remote.

This position is open due to them having hired a large number of Data Engineers, Architects etc and while they are capable of building API's, they need to bring someone in who is able to do this as well as being experienced in building the API Management best practices that go along side this. They currently have this capability in the US and are now in need to implement this capability in the UK moving forward.

They are looking to build this into a product or an accelerator for their current and future client base due to the high demand of open data. You will be heavily involved in setting up this capability here in the UK, being able to show how you are able to use this open data, what the best practices are and be able to create bespoke products to each individual client depending on their needs.

This is an exciting opportunity as it is in its early stages so you will be taking full control of what optimal solutions should be used for each stage, maintaining these, implementation and monitoring. You will be selecting and integrating any tools and frameworks required to provide the best capabilities for each case, as well as working closely with cloud big data architecture, such as AWS, Azure and GCP.

Key skills:
  • Demonstratable experience working on API Management and best practices within microservice architectures
  • Java or Golang
  • WS02, Mulseoft or similar API Management tools
  • AWS, GCP or Azure cloud experience
  • Strong communication skills - Ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders/clients
  • Innovative - Passion for building new products/platforms/tools etc

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary
  • Share Scheme
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
