Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Designer. You will work within the Design team on a broad range of projects. The role will entail designing and building a wide variety of campaigns which will be disseminated via our network service. This role concentrates on the more technical aspects of website frontend development, using JavaScript/ jQuery to add dynamic and interactive elements to the campaigns we deliver.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Campaigns at M3 are built using a combination of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. An API is used to interact with our databases which allows us to ask questions within a page, capture form submissions and track website interactivity, among other things.

The successful candidate will help to deliver successful internal, commercial, and targeted campaigns. More specifically, we are looking for a candidate with experience in using client-side APIs and JavaScript/ jQuery to add more dynamic and interactive elements to the sites we build.

The role will involve technical aspects but will also provide opportunity to develop creative skills too, for example, designing web pages based on client assets and copy, so, an interest in design is essential.

Finally, the candidate will be expected to become familiar with the in-house API and support the design team in complex implementations.

The role will involve:
  • Building websites in HTML/CSS and JavaScript
  • Building HTML based marketing emails
  • Building display advertisement campaigns (flat and HTML5)
  • Using the API to add dynamic elements to our campaigns
  • Troubleshooting technical problems
  • Supporting the team with any technical issues that arise
  • Producing visual designs for campaigns

This is not an exhaustive list of duties. You will be expected to adapt to different tasks based on the available work.

As you become more familiar with our systems and API, there will be scope to develop your skills further, so we are looking for someone who is eager to learn and develop.
