The main purpose of this role is to play an important role in delivering excellence in service whilst delivering a forward-thinking IT Operations strategy. The IT Operations Director will take on the responsibility of planning, coordinating and designing operations strategies for the business which keep in line with the broader business plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overall accountability and responsibility for the development, profitability & performance of the Operations teams
  • Sit on the Board and play an important role in shaping the key strategies and implementation of these
  • Develop the Operations strategy with a vision for 3 to 5 years to support business growth
  • Develop and maintain a strategic Operations Roadmap and ensure details are communicated and understood by the Leadership Team
  • Drive positive continuous improvements across the wider business
  • Monitor trends in the IT, Managed Service & Telecoms sectors to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
  • Lead and coach a growing team
  • Ensure all IT and Business Projects are managed accordingly
  • Experience working with suppliers and customers to improve processes, efficiency, and quality
  • Commercially aware with the ability to identify new opportunities which benefit the wider business
  • Use Hybrid Cloud capabilities to manage Multi-cloud/hybrid estates
  • Drive forward thinking Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security solutions
  • Have full responsibility of P&L within Operations

Key Skills
  • Proven experience in developing and driving managed services including, people, process, and team integration, P&L and change
  • Proven delivery of strategic roadmaps
  • Strong relationship builder with all key stakeholders with a strong ability to take people on a journey and positively influence
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with experience in fostering a strong team spirit
  • Proven success of coaching individuals to develop their potential
  • Proven line management and leadership skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, confident managing expectations
  • Ability to present yourself confidently to and influence professionally where necessary
  • Motivated and always dedicated to providing an excellent level of employee and customer satisfaction
  • Exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proven technical background with an excellent understanding of Cloud, Security, and Service Desk technologies
