The Director, Regional Business Development EMEA is responsible for leading the business development, marketing, and customer acquisition/growth efforts to grow a sustainable book of business for BakerRisk in the region.


Leading all business development activities within the United Kingdom (UK), Europe, Middle East, and Africa Regions for BakerRisk.
  • Developing and implementing customer acquisition strategy
  • Directing and coordinating a wide breadth of internal resources to increase market awareness and support customer acquisition and retention.
  • Leveraging existing relationships with multi-national companies to support regional business development and growth.
  • Directing marketing resources to specific regions to support business development activities.
  • Performing competitive analysis to develop value propositions and service/product differentiators.
  • Coordinating with the BakerRisk Management to ensure sustainable growth and development of long-term client relationships.

Position Requirements


  • Minimum 15+ years of industry experience in the energy and/or petrochemical industry or professional services industry - 10+ years-experience including strategy, structuring, and/or business development in heavy industrial/manufacturing operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field
  • Extensive network of relationships in industry and amongst key stakeholders in the energy, chemical, or similar space
  • Thorough understanding of existing and emerging regional regulations, standards and strategies applicable to energy, chemicals and other similar heavy industrial/manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop business opportunities which anticipate market changes.


  • Proven ability to have strategic discussions with business leaders to help them manage risk exposure.
  • Influencing skills, including the ability to work across departmental and functional boundaries in a matrix organization.
  • Facilitation skills, including the ability to manage customer requirements to secure new project opportunities and coordinate with internal multi-disciplinary resources.
  • Experience in one or more of the industries: Oil & Gas, Chemicals or Alternative Energy (Hydrogen, Renewable Fuels, Batteries, EV, Carbon Capture or Renewable Power Generation)
  • Proven Business Development acumen and experience delivering engineering services and solutions in the private and public sectors.
  • Demonstrable track record of maintaining long-term customer relationships.
