Secondary School - 1:1/ working in groups - Inclusion Unit - Tower Hamlets

We are working with a Mainstream Secondary School in Tower Hamlets who are looking for a Behaviour Support LSA to work within the inclusion unit.

The role is to start ASAP. .

The pupils are age 11-16 years old KS3/4 secondary all with EHCP plans and additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH and Challenging Behaviour.

The pupils have usually experienced some form of trauma, neglect or chaotic home life or all of these things.

Your role is to build a connection with the young people and act as a mentor and role model for the students.

Due to the barriers the pupils have in the classroom, the role will entail forging strong relationships with pupils. The role will see you using lots of mentoring skills (similar to that used in sports, drama, counselling) to help the individual engage with the school.

You will support the pupil in the classroom and out of the classroom..

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH US, YOU MUST:

- Hold Right to Work in the UK

- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

- Provide two professional references
