I am currently recruiting for a well-known national generator company who are on the lookout for Service manager based around the south. My client specialises in the maintenance, commissioning and installation of ups & diesel generators. With this role my client is looking for someone with a mechanical background with some electrical engineering knowledge on diesel generators.

Key responsibilities for the Generator Service Manager include;
  • Developing and implementing service standards and procedures for the service department
  • Management of the internal service control team (4 team members)
  • Management of Field Engineers and Technical team (17 team members)
  • Management of planned, preventative maintenance across our contract base, monitoring KPI's set and obtaining efficiencies across the scheduling of works across the business
  • Maintaining customer relationships and improving response and delivery times
  • Updating service methods to improve overall efficiency
  • Conducting periodic appraisals of all team members and identifying areas for improvement
  • Regular audits of site works (along with Technical Generator/UPS Engineers) and customer service being provided on site to ensure all standards are met and that all works are carried out effectively, correctly, and thoroughly. Utilise any on site opportunities to enhance skill set of engineers
  • Responsibility for QHSE processes and procedures that affect the service department ensuring relevant information is communicated to teams
  • Resolve and monitor department issues and customer complaints to define patterns and work to lesson those recurring issues
  • Management of service department holidays, timesheets, and expenses
  • Providing monthly reports to the Operations Manager on department KPI's

Package Available for Successful Candidate:
  • Basic Salary Between £45,000 - £55,000
  • Overtime
  • Pension
  • Monday - Friday 37 hours per week
