The client is a well-known high street retail company that are looking for a Finance Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. The head office is based in the West End (Oxford Circus) and the role is in a sub-section of the finance team that works very closely with the largest department of the business. They are looking for a junior candidate that is willing to learn and develop, whilst bringing their own experience to the business.

Client Details

The client are a huge British high-street retail brand that are based in the West End (Oxford Circus). The successful Finance Analyst will be reporting directly into the Finance Manager of the team, that actually started in this role. The team is made up of 3 people, but will also be working with various other members within the much larger finance team, and many other senior stakeholders within the business. They're looking for a candidate to help with various areas of Financial Planning & Analysis and Commercial Analysis, to help drive the business forward.


The successful Finance Analyst will:
  • Full production of the monthly Management Accounts (with variance analysis and commentary)
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain an improved set of processes and controls
  • Communication with various senior stakeholders within the business
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • KPI reporting
  • Weekly flash reporting
  • Be the first point of contact for Marketing team, developing sound relationships between them and Finance
  • Business Partner the Marketing Managers for specific owned areas
  • Build a relationship with key stakeholders outside of Marketing including BMD, Ecom, Retail


The successful Finance Analyst will:
  • Previous experience in a commercial environment and management accounting experience is essential (exposure to month-end management accounts exposure)
  • Previous experience with commercial analysis
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Summifs etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Studying towards the ACCA or CIMA qualification (desirable, not essential)
  • Working knowledge of the system SAP (desirable, not essential)

Job Offer
  • £30,000 - £33,000 (max)
