Salary: £32,000k p.a.
Hours: 8am to 5pm (Hybrid role: 3 or 4 days at the office and 1 or 2 days at home)

The Assistant Management Accountant will support the finance activities at my clients and Subsidiary Companies, comprising approximately 480 Business Staff. Reporting into the Management Accountant, this role will assist the team in the delivery of accurate and timely information.

Main duties & responsibilities:
- Overseeing the bank reconciliation process and maintenance of bank records for the companies accounts
- Donations Accounting in accordance with FRS 102.
- Management Reporting for the company and the Tennis Centre JV.
- Purchase ledger
- General Ledger maintenance: supervise accounting for the Parents' Association, Boat
- Club Parents' Association, Josephites Community, and other control accounts.
- Assisting generally on all other accounts functions, including day to day supervision of Finance Assistants.
- Fees in Advance: Manage the Fees in Advance Scheme.
Knowledge and Experience:
Essential Criteria
- Part qualified (ACCA or CIMA) ideally, with experience of working in a medium sized finance department.
- Experienced in the preparation of management accounts and managing a purchase
- ledger with a significant volume of transactions.
- Good technical accounting knowledge, ideally of the Charities SORP (FRS 102).
- Good systems knowledge and intermediate Excel and other MS Office skills.
- Experience of supervising other staff and developing their knowledge.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working with Sage 200c.
- Experience of working in a school or charity environment.
Skills and Abilities:

- Excellent attention to detail and highly organised.
- Able to manage workload (including managing multiple stakeholders) to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong awareness of data protection requirements and ability to exercise discretion when handling sensitive personal information.

- Positive outlook and excellent communicator with a broad range of staff and customers / stakeholders.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and to develop and enhance systems and processes
