Responsible for the quality, cost material suppliers into the business.
- Manage as the Commodity Manager planning and achieving the sites performance.
- Lead a team of Commodity Buyer on both sites for Direct and Indirect
- With regular project & team meetings, offer suggestions for improvement that will allow objectives and targets to be achieved and bettered.
- Delivering and executing robust plans for year on year performance using SPS, LRP
- Develop supplier base in line with the Plant and Global Strategy.
- Work closely with Plant quality and PC&L to react immediately to Supplier issues.
- Drive collaboration with business partners to achieve quality performance targets achieving business requirements.
- Facilitate cross functional participation in all Supplier Quality, Cost initiative, Project launch issues.
- Visit suppliers in the International environment.
- Support Plant strategy and business case development ie Outsourcing/ Insourcing.
- Manage the personnel requirements of the Purchasing team, ensuring requirements with individual welfare, training needs and Job performance are met.
- Ensure activities are performed with high integrity and in compliance with Global, Divisional and Site procedures and encourage Process and Systems Improvements
SKILLS

- Negotiation skills, Commercially, Timing, relationship building in an International market.
- Experience of suppliers achieving joint goals in Quality, Cost and Capacity.
- Leading a multi-talented team across multi sites.
- 5+ years relevant experience in related automotive / engineering environment.
- A strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills presenting to all levels of management.
Desirable
- CIPS Qualified.
- An understanding of GES, SAP and similar systems.
- Manufacturing knowledge and experience in a variety of products (Machining, Forging, Moulding) etc
- Technical qualification (Apprentice or Engineer).

- Degree in Business or Engineering
