Your new role
The Ecommerce Merchandising Manager will be responsible for supporting the website
merchandising, marketing and content for the ecommerce business.
This leadership position is expected to provide significant input and contribution to the
overall strategic and operational direction of the Digital function. This position
will work closely with the Digital Director, other Digital leaders as well as other leaders across different functions.
As the owner of web content, the candidate will be responsible for the development and
implementation of the digital content strategy, governance, business as usual and ensuring
the integrity of our content and assets.

Web Merchandising

1. Drive and implement content strategy (product selection, taxonomy,
content fill, product governance and PIM system)
2. Develop a deep understanding of the brand's customers and their product needs
and journey within the ecommerce platform.
3. Use product and performance data to understand demand and develop a
merchandising plan
4. Optimise core product content based on customer behaviour to improve conversion
5. Understand, enhance and then implement the digital content strategy and
governance pertaining to PIM, MDM, DAM, etc. Work with other functions
on these topics, including colleagues in France
6. Work collaboratively and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and
compliance with the e-commerce strategy.
7. Influence key stakeholders to ensure your strategy comes to fruition especially
when competing against many other business projects.
8. Collaborate and work with Digital Trading, Marketing, Photography, Operations,
Customer Service and Finance to incorporate best practice processes.
9. Use product and performance data to understand customer behaviour and demand
to develop a web merchandising roadmap which fits our strategy and goals
10. Track and report on the progress and impact of web merchandising activities
11. Optimise core product content based on customer behaviour to improve conversion
12. Propose the product vision and share it to all (users and development team)
1. Develop the Team's strategy, share it and drive its implementation.
2. Drive change on new solutions and processes as needed, which could include
finding alternative solutions and compromises
3. Lead and manage the web merchandising team, which includes the authority to hire,
supervise and performance manage the team
4. Act as interface between the customer(s) and the team - voice of the customer
5. Manage career development paths for the team including regular feedback sessions
& clear targets.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Sports enthusiasm is a plus
2. Bachelor's Degree preferred
3. Previous professional experience in Digital eCommerce required (B2C and Content Management
strongly preferred)
4. Of which this experience must include Digital Content and Digital Merchandising experience should include elements such as, but not limited to:
a. creating and implementing product assortment lists,
b. developing and managing product taxonomies
c. product information management (experience across different PIMs
systems to manage content is a plus),
d. managing supplier relationships (content, new products, dropship),
e. driving key KPIs such as SEO
f. increasing customer engagement levels or product fill rate all while closely
collaborating with other cross-functional teams such as procurement,
supplier relations and marketing
5. An innate passion for the digital space and an awareness of best practices, trends
and opportunities
6. Multiple years of experience working within and managing content and
merchandising teams, which includes interfacing with internal and external
stakeholders (e.g., internal buying teams, suppliers, etc.)
7. Strong cross-functional experience and proven ability to work collaboratively and
through others. Proven ability to motivate others
8. Numeracy with data to drive decisions
