Network Security Support Engineer - Home Based

Are you a Network Security Support Engineer with experience of experience of managing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining network security devices?
Do you also have networking and / or network security experience?

Our client, a consulting, transformation and digital services business are looking to take on a new network security support engineer as soon as possible. They role will be key within one of the UK's largest and most diverse recruiting operations. The Network Security Support Engineer will join our client's Cyber Security Team within the Support Services division. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and supporting one or more service support processes and ensuring that processes meet our client's business requirements and systems goals.

The essential requirements.....

Mandatory to hold/gain SC Clearance.
Experience providing Support within IT.
Experience in networking and / or network security.
Experience of managing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining network security devices.
Understanding of alerting and monitoring applications and working with ticketing systems.
Experience of supplier management.
Willingness to learn and support new technologies.

The role......
Providing technical Support for managed services customers covering security devices both on prem and virtual/cloud-based solutions (Checkpoint, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
Knowledge of networking / network security.
Supporting live operational issues.
Responsible for fault investigation, resolution and diagnosis.
Performing device maintenance and firmware upgrades.
Ticket management, ensuring tickets are managed and within SLAs.
Customer relationship management, providing an excellent customer support experience.
Supplier relationship management, engaging with vendors for resolving complex issues when required.
Assisting service delivery management and supporting the wider support services team.
Support the transition to managed services support when required.
Participating in an on call rota to provide 247/365 support to managed service customers. **This is optional and not essential
