What you'll be doing...

We are looking for a Capacity Manager to take care of the overall Space and Mechanical and Electrical infrastructure within all Verizon International technical spaces, Data centres and all other technical sites. You will manage the availability of power, space and cooling at Verizon technical sites to ensure the delivery of Network growth.
  • Assessing Network installation requests via the Verizon vetting system.
  • Assessing and vetting Customer colocation requests via internal Verizon systems.
  • Ensuring all M&E records are fully accurate and updated within the Verizon inventory database.
  • Calculating power and cooling capacity for Network installations.
  • Working with Project teams to upgrade existing HVAC / Power equipment for Network Growth.
  • Engineering DC power systems and power distribution systems.
  • Creating Verizon technical site drawings and floor plans within Verizon drawing database.
  • Liaising with Operations to provide accurate routine maintenance data.
  • Working with the Operations and network planning departments to capture future network growth and site forecasts.
  • Assessing future forecasting and historical trending data to ensure the available capacity of Verizon's M&E infrastructure.
  • Managing overall technical building site power, space and cooling capacity to ensure that availability is not exceeded.
  • Accurate data reporting to Senior Management.
  • Providing regular status updates to Key stakeholders.
  • Managing and maintain relationships with key internal customers.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction related subject or relevant work experience within the Electrical & Mechanical field.
  • Experience working with HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of cable / power distribution.
  • Knowledge of DC power systems and power distribution.
  • Experience of working in a Matrix management environment.
  • Good working knowledge of MS & Google products.
  • Sound knowledge of Data Centre technology and products.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent drafting program.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Valid driver's license.
