This is an ideal opportunity for a Data Analyst who will be responsible for engaging business analysts to understand data and reporting requirements to support business needs on a migration project within life and pensions. You will provide support for end-user analytics and business intelligence, report definitions and designs, validation testing, and management. The ideal candidate will have strong Business Intelligence and Business Analyst skills coupled with advanced SAS experience
You will be responsible for data & business analytics, standardisation and management, warehousing requirements, application requirements, report design, development and testing of business requirements.
The rate on offer is £300 per day on a 4-6 month contract which is likely to be extended. You would be required to work Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm.
As a Data analyst you will:
Conduct analysis of business and user needs for information, features, reports, and functions in order to develop requirements for analytics and reporting for operating units and corporate functions, utilizing expertise in Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Warehousing, to understand the organization's systems and capabilities to ensure the most efficient use of assets.
Elicit requirements using interviews, analytics, business process descriptions and workflow analysis
Assist in the creation of deliverables that are developed jointly with the user and technical development team, including output definition, logical design (business process and rules, data elements and flows, screens and reports), implementation plan, documentation, and training needs
Counsel and advise users on uses, definitions, assets' capabilities, and information management processes
Develop reports and analytical objects which meet business requirements of business organizations
Collaborate with technical experts and business units to determine the best possible reporting mechanisms
Produce ad hoc analytics/reports
Develop and manage project documentation deliverables
Complete special projects and other functions, as required
To be considered for the role of Data analyst you will possess the following attributes and abilities:
Data migration experience within life and pension
Advanced SAS experience including SQL and VBA
Excellent communication skills, to include fluent English both written and verbal.
Numerate, analytical with excellent IT systems orientation.
Strong ability with Word and Excel
Extremely professional, well-presented and motivated with a strong work ethic.
Flexible and dedicated with the desire to succeed at all costs
You will also be required to complete a Criminal Records Bureau and Equifax Credit check for this project.
