We are urgently seeking an experienced and skilled Finance and Payroll Assistant
to provide support in the payment of salaries and expenses for 7,000 salaried employees, payment of creditors invoices, credit control for invoices issued and other financial transactions for one of our blue light services clients based in London SE1.
The Finance and Payroll Assistant
will prepare and process input data for the payroll, creditors/debtors and finance systems, ensuring work is completed accurately within the required deadlines. They will prepare manual payments, incorporating the correct application of Income Tax, National Insurance, Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay, Statutory Sick Pay, Incapacity Benefit, Occupational Pension Schemes and other statutory and non-statutory deductions.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:
Candidates MUST have access to their own laptop
- Previous experience supporting Payroll and Finance functions
- Good knowledge of the administration of accounting functions (E.g. Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable)
- Experience of using a range of IT including Microsoft Office (E.g. Outlook, Word and Excel) and Finance software applications
- Experience of organising, planning and prioritising work ensuring work is completed accurately and within the required deadlines
