6 month Fixed Term Contract

Think Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a local client in Hemel Hempstead in helping them sourcing for an Qualified Management Accountant 6 month FTC. We are looking for someone to support the Financial Controller and to effectively and efficiently administer assigned aspects of the general ledger and associated requirements, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, control, and achieving deadlines.

You will be either ACCA, CIMA, or ACA part or fully qualified

Responsibilities;

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and providing analysis and explanations to budget holders.
• Preparation and input of journals and to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained of all transactions entered
• Responsible for fixed asset registry and accounting
• To support and maintain all internal controls and procedures within the business
• To ensure balance sheet reconciliations for all assigned account areas are prepared on a monthly basis, with identified reconciling items resolved within a reasonable timeframe
• Support statutory accounts preparation.
• To establish and maintain an adequate document filing approach as would satisfy the needs of the External Auditors and support audit activities
• To ensure that all government legislation and legal requirements are met at all times
• Recommend areas for improvement in processes, controls and reporting
