Senior Operational Risk Manager
Location: Croydon office location with Hybrid working
Salary: £62,900 to £68,000 per annum

Our client protects millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. Their members rely on them to look after their pensions if their employers collapse and the pension schemes cannot afford to pay what they promised.
They are looking for a Senior Operational Risk Manager to join their Risk team and be the face of Operational Risk to all their business stakeholders.
This role requires a collaborative approach working with function heads and peers across the business and will involve the provision of both 1-to-1 advice and challenge as well as targeted training and briefing. The job holder will spearhead continuous improvement and provide hands on delivery of Operational Risk MI and analysis, they will provide subject matter expertise in Operational Risk and also act as a deputy to the Head of Operational Risk.
Their ideal applicant will hold a professional qualification in Operational Risk or equivalent (e.g. Institute of Risk Management - International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management, Institute of Operational Risk Management - Certificate in Operational Risk Management), with demonstrable experience of working within Operational Risk. Additionally, they will need to demonstrate analytical skills to identify material trends or anomalies and also have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt style to experience and seniority of stakeholders.
