Finance Administrator | Full Time | Temp to Perm | Lancaster

Your new company
Your new company will be a successful and fast growing organisation based in Lancaster, who are looking to appoint a Finance Administrator for 1-2 months temporary basis with possibility to become a permanent role for the right candidate. The role will be based in the office and will be Full time.

Your new role
As Finance Administrator you will be responsible for helping with data entry, accounts admin, ad-hoc accounts duties, provide administrative support to others in the office to maintain an efficient office environment. You will be organised, reliable and give attention to detail when dealing with accounts related admin duties. Some of the key tasks will be:

  • Inputting invoices into ledger
  • Checking Proof of Delivery & Matching to Invoices
  • Checking Purchase & Subcontractor Orders & Matching to Invoices
  • Experience on Quickbooks or similar accounts packages
  • Filing
  • Checking Supplier Statements & Reconciling Purchase Ledger Accounts
  • Chasing missing invoices.
  • Raising supplier queries and following up to resolution
  • Setting up credit accounts
  • Monitoring credit limits
  • Converting Quickbooks reports to excel and interpret to directors Requirements
  • Paperwork to be put together once a week and handed in to relevant persons at site.
  • Assist with weekly payroll tasks
  • Produce monthly CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) Returns
  • Input Credit Card transactions into accounts Software, attach relevant receipts and send to Director for authorisation with weekly paperwork
  • Organise any company vehicle repairs, servicing and MOT. Reminders to be inputted onto shared calendar
  • Calculate extra miles for company vehicles via vehicle tracker software this is done monthly. Send to Finance Manager once complete.
  • Assist Finance Manager with Monthly Cash Forecasting and Accruals
  • Other Admin tasks


What you'll need to succeed
This is a hands on role and will suit a motivated individual who has a positive outlook and interest in learning new skills and can work on your own initiative. You will also need to have:
  • Good level of education, ideally min 5 GCSEs including Maths and English
  • Previous office experience
  • Competent computer skills including MS Office , Quickbooks
  • Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and data collection
  • Numeracy and literacy skills
  • Previous accounting experience using Quickbooks


What you'll get in return
This is a temporary role for an initial 1-2 months and for the right candidate it would turn into a permanent role. The salary is dependant on experience and will be up to £12 p/h.
