Kenny Recruit are looking for an experienced Accountant to join a growing property asset management company. Our client are currently undertaking a project to move their core finance system from Microsoft Navision to Oracle Netsuite. As part of this project they are looking to recruit a part time team member for a period of 3 - 4 months to assist with the data migration between the 2 systems.

You will only be migrating accounting data. Opening balances will be imported for the period up to 31-12-21 and then transaction data will be imported between 1-1-22 and production cut over. 2022 budgets will also be imported.

Are specialist I.T skills required? No. The most important skill we're looking for is that of a solid Accountant who has a good nose for sniffing out any potential errors in data migration between the 2 systems. Where more advanced IT skills may be required (e.g. Excel Powerquery) we can either train you on this or pull in resource from elsewhere in the organisation.

The complexities we do have are lots of subsidiaries (about 80 of them) and consequently quite a few intercompany balances. We are also harmonising our chart of accounts to a single identical chart of accounts (the old finance system has a slightly different chart of accounts for each of the subsidiaries). In summary we just need an extra set of hands to lead the data migration due to the volume of work required.

Pay: £30 - £35 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Location: Remote working. Opportunity to go into office if you wish but not essential.

Working hours: 9.00am - 5.30pm (21 hours per week so working hours are flexible).

Next Steps...

We've been candidates too so we know how frustrating it is if you don't hear back from a job application. We'd love to respond to everyone, however given the high volume of responses we receive from the combination of job boards, social media and other sources and despite our best efforts, we simply can't get back to every application - We know that's not what you want to hear but we hope you'll understand?

Short-listed candidates will obviously be contacted for this specific role and if you haven't heard from us within a week, please assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.

We will keep your CV on file to contact you with regards to future roles and any other advice to help you, however if you do not wish to remain on our database, please let us know and we will obviously remove you. Alternatively, feel free to contact us for a chat.
