Account Manager - Accountancy Practice

A well-established, family owned Chartered Accountancy Practice in Birmingham is recruiting for an Account Manager to join their friendly team. This job involves the responsibility of managing a portfolio of clients. This is a full time, permanent position with an immediate start. The candidate will be required to go into the office 5 days a week.

Hours: Mon - Fri 9am - 5:30pm

Salary range: £25,000 - £30,000

Responsibilities to include:
  • Preparing SME financial statements (sole trader/partnerships & limited companies)
  • Completing self-assessment and corporation tax returns
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Good communication skills (as liaising directly with clients)
  • Liaising with HMRC and other relevant regulatory bodies when required
  • Proficient in SME bookkeeping software: Quickbooks and Xero
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in accountancy practice

  • Knowledge of using IRIS accounting & tax software
  • Full UK driving license with access to own transportation (for client meetings)
  • AAT qualified or above
