Are you passionate about supporting children with mental health difficulties, display challenging behaviour and have learning disabilities such as Autism?
An excellent mainstream primary school in Newbury is currently recruiting for a SEN teaching assistant to join them ASAP. They are currently seeking candidates who have a minimum of three months experience working with children with mental/learning disabilities. Due to the specialist role the school have highlighted that candidate with a degree in Psychology/Criminology is desired however isn't mandatory.
The primary school are seeking an applicant with strong behaviour management skills, a compassionate ear, and excellent patience to assist with a child who has significant behavioural issues. The child has an EHCP which the successful applicant will be responsible for adhering to, and for developing new strategies for as their Behaviour Support Assistant.
The school is located in Newbury and accessible via public transport with onsite parking available.
- The ideal Learning Support Assistant will be able to commit for the full academic year and the expected salary will be from £65-£80 per day. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to expand their classroom experience prior to undertaking their teaching training and becoming a fully qualified classroom teacher.
