Teaching Assistant
Due to growing numbers of pupils, we are working in partnership with an excellent specialist school local to Histon, Cambridge. The school is continuing to grow due to an increased demand for specialist behavioural support in the area. Applicants should ideally have some previous experience of working in a school or with children with challenging behaviour. We do encourage you to 'get stuck in' from day one and learn on the job, however training and support is available from both the school and Teaching Personnel.
On a day to day basis, you should expect to be engaging primary and secondary aged students with their learning and development as well as working as part of a multi-disciplinary team i.e. Counsellors, SENCO, Social Workers. No two days will be the same, this position is extremely rewarding and would be ideal for individuals seeking a new challenge, looking to move into the Education sector or those with a passion for supporting SEN, vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals as well as creating positive outcomes.
This particular role advertised is full-time, however with the school expanding there are several support roles available, if you would prefer part-time or flexible work please call and speak to a member of our SEN team.
Hours: Monday to Friday - 8.30am until 3.30pm
Initially, you will be employed by Teaching Personnel (subject to our vetting and background checks) and then after a set period of weeks you will move over to a permanent contract with the school directly

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
