CNC Tuner Setter / Operator

The successful CNC Tuner Setter / Operator will needs to be familiar with Multiple Spindle, Multiple Turret, preferable Index G200 Siemens Control type CNC machines.

My client is a global manufacturing business who are industry-leaders designing and delivering beautiful, innovative products to last a lifetime. They are looking to grow their manufacturing team in Rainham by recruiting a CNC Tuner Setter / Operator.

Description

The successful CNC Tuner Setter / Operator will:

• Set machines as requested and ensure that cycle times achieve the quality and output standards required
• Check all first off and compare last off from machines and verify accuracy of machine setting
• Recognise, identify and rectify or report all quality defects and failures to achieve the required standards
• Recognise and report exceptional requirements or shortfalls for parts and components
• Train and develop new team members to the standard required
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment, be responsible for good housekeeping and ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards
• Maintain good communications and relationships throughout the company
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and make suggestions for improvement
• Fill in for machine shop team leader when required

Profile

We are looking to speak to candidates who have/are:

• Applicant needs to be familiar with Multiple Spindle, Multiple Turret, preferable Index G200 Siemens Control type CNC machines
• Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills
• Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets
• Ability to work without supervision
• A basic understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
