Research & Insight Executive (Marketing)

London

We're cinch. Our mission is simple - remove the faff from buying, changing and owning cars, giving customers more choice, with more ease. That's it. We're putting drivers first and we've ripped up the rule book to make sure that happens.

cinch lets people find just the right used car online from an ever-growing pool of quality-checked choices. Then we deliver the car to its new owner with a 14-day money-back guarantee. And if they've part-exchanged on their current car, we'll even take that one away. Now that's faff-free.

We're a customer-first ecommerce business with huge ambition, already driving exponential growth. And we have an exciting roadmap of innovative products to grow our customer offering as preference for buying cars online grows.

cinch is backed by the Constellation Automotive Group. That means we're part of a family including BCA and WeBuyAnyCar.com. We like to keep good company.

You

We've attracted some of the smartest folks around. Right now, we need one more. Do you have a faff-free filter? Do you like being part of energetic, open-minded and passionate teams? If you're ready to thrive in an accelerated growth environment, full of ideas and want to challenge the norm, you could be our new Research & Insight executive

What you'll do

Reporting into the Head of Research and Insight you'll:
  • Support in the generation of customer insight from research that influences critical decision-making, across our operations, product and marketing functions. So it goes (not quite) without saying that the highest quality research and insight is your ambition at all times.
  • support brand marketing through the ongoing evolution of our brand health and campaign performance programmes
  • support on ad hoc research projects across our marketing and product teams as we help inform the development of new ideas from inception through to final development
  • support the development of the internal comms strategy for insight as we look to share knowledge about our customers across the organisation
  • be responsible for monitoring our competitors and observing how consumers behaviours are changing that may impact our business
  • work at pace, skilfully delivering multiple, quality projects into the business on time and budget
  • support on maintaining and evolving our knowledge consolidation framework
  • contribute towards the development of new customer insight capabilities that raise the profile of the insight function within cinch and the broader insight community

Your experience, skills and style

You will have worked in fast paced environments before and will be comfortable juggling the demands of fast business growth with long term R&I projects.

You'll:
  • have exposure to/an understanding of a wide breadth of research methodologies
  • have lived and breathed market research, either within an in-house or agency research function although you will be expected to be very hands on
  • have dealing with stakeholders in your DNA, with the ability to communicate with, and influence them effectively
  • be excited by the prospect (and challenge!) of working on projects using a wide variety of data sources as well as engaging third-party research agencies
  • a flair for generating key, actionable, insights from primary data sets (quantitative and qualitative)
  • have a keen eye for competitor analysis and industry trends, utilising this to validate or adapt our strategic decision making
  • be comfortable working as part of a newly formed, small team
  • most importantly, left until last even though you'll know it should have been in the executive summary, have a thirst to make your stamp on a new digital business.

What we need to see
