Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision - Pupil Referral Unit - Leicester

Hays are working in partnership with an Alternative Provision / Pupil Referral Unit in Leicester City who are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant. This is a full time and long term role to start as soon as possible.
Your new role
In this role, you will be support pupils who are finding it difficult to access mainstream education and are therefore attend an alternative provision on a part time or full time basis. You will support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom. You will successfully build positive relationships with pupils and be able to promote their learning and development. You will model and promote appropriate behaviour around school and challenge any behaviour that is not deemed to be appropriate.
What you will need to succeed
For this role, you will have experience of working with children and young people in some capacity such as a school, residential care, youth club or sports club. You will have an interest in working with challenging, vulnerable or at risk young people and be passionate about making a difference. You will also be able to work as part of a team to best meet the needs of the students. For this role, you will also need an in date Team Teach certificate.
