Programme/Project Manager - Market data and data management experience

ACU is a complex tier-1 platform within Shared Services LCH and is the market data platform for the LCH Ltd used by all clearing services business lines within it. The Taliss programme involves rolling out ACU to LCH SA entity - including SA EquityClear, SA RepoClear and SA Shared service functions.

This senior project manager role is to lead the change delivery of this. The role will be responsible for shaping and structuring the book of work, defining the workstreams, defining the scope/deliverables, mobilising and executing on the delivery and working with other areas of the Taliss programme to achieve this. Stakeholder areas will include the business lines, its corresponding IT functions, architecture committees and the central Taliss programme. Managing the delivery execution will involve managing an IT delivery team within the Market Data Service containing Business Analysts, Developers, QA and Support staff, as well as liaising with business lines within SA for integration and acceptance testing and alignment to the overall Taliss programme roadmap and milestones.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership, guidance and technical expertise to the overall programme of work
  • Manages & accountable for change with significant complexity and risk. Tracking progress against plan, managing risk, issues and dependencies
  • Collaborates with a wide set of customers across the organisation as well supporting functions and leads cross-stakeholder meetings
  • Coaches the direct team, develops resourcing strategies that optimise the change delivery shapes the continuous improvement of the change delivery methods used
  • Planning (Project and Sprint) of initiatives including requirements, design, development, testing and implementation
  • Production of standardized and consistent project artefacts
  • Resource tracking and budgetary validation against the programme allocations
  • Facilitation, tracking and production of reporting for senior stakeholders, steering committees, working in tandem with PMO
  • Ensuring project management best practices are adopted across the programme
  • Ensure Governance is adhered to across the project. Tracking and escalating where required

Candidate Profile
  • Proven track record for delivery of complex business and system implementation projects
  • Experienced in delivering business & systems integration change within the banking sector, with Clearing services domain knowledge
  • Market Data services knowledge include data sourcing, data management and distribution
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving and follow through to make sure projects are run effectively
  • Proven ability to operate effectively with other functions and external teams and is seen as a partner in the overall function whose opinions and knowledge is respected
  • Strong understanding of project planning techniques, financial forecasting and tracking
  • Thinks strategically and understands the wider & longer term impact of the change programme and decisions made within it
  • Detailed knowledge of Project Management tools (Clarity, MS Project, Jira, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong, clear and concise communication - both verbal and written
  • Structured Governance and Control implementation
  • Post project implementation review
  • Communications strategy / planning
  • Business case development
  • Workshop coordination and training
  • Supplier Management (Onshore / Offshore)

  • Has worked in a similar role in a Clearing House or an investment bank and can demonstrate a working knowledge of similar processes used there relating to projects, their finances, resource allocation and overall project control
  • Experience of Asset Control / Alveotech market data platform
  • Keen to understand technology and data flow
  • Can influence co-workers to respond in a timely manner
  • Experience working in Agile environments with overarching project governance
  • Outsourcing and Infrastructure Delivery
  • Cultural Awareness - Offshore, Europe.
  • Knowledge and experience using Stage Gates within project delivery
