About the role:

UK Policing is transforming the way it delivers services. The ambition is to use digital channels to make the experience of contacting the police as helpful, personal and reassuring as approaching an officer in the street.

The Pipeline Manager, working under the Head of Content, will be responsible for planning and managing the delivery of projects across teams and departments. Oversee activities and ensure the project has the resources, budget and planning in place to assure delivery. Unblock any issues and work collaboratively across teams where resource may be distributed.

Key tasks (but not limited to):
  • Manage the pipeline of CDS and Accenture releases (working with the POs)
  • Ensuring user stories are appropriately prioritised to ensure the needs of the DPC programme and the BAU service are met
  • Ensuring the successful release and go live of Email migration project
  • Management of UAT / test resource
  • Work effectively with the Digital Public Contact programme team to help support content related activities on-boarding of forces to the platform
  • Attend or manage where appropriate the sprint ceremonies, daily stand ups, backlog reviews, sprint planning and mid sprint sessions as well as other delivery related calls and workshops
  • Work effectively with subject matter experts, stakeholders and partners to ensure delivery meets the overarching roadmap for the platform

Required knowledge and experience:
  • Knowledge of project management methods and principles, particularly Agile
  • Understands the complex environment of policing and challenges of delivery in government organisations
  • Have a proven track record of project management and delivering projects in a highly complex and pressurised environment
  • Experience working collaboratively in fast-paced agile teams
  • Experience of working in national programmes
  • Experience reporting at a senior level as the role will involve frequent senior management progress / milestone reporting updates
  • Experience working with remote-first teams is desirable, but not essential
  • Policing experience desirable but not essential
