My client based in West London is an iconic UK home ware retailer who are expanding their team and currently in the process of a brand transformation and recruiting a Senior Marketing Manager to report directly into the Head of Marketing.

My client based in West London is an iconic UK home ware retailer who are expanding their team and currently in the process of a brand transformation and recruiting a Senior Marketing Manager to report directly into the Head of Marketing.
As our Senior Marketing Manager, you'll sit within the Retail Marketing Team. This talented team develops, manages, implements and evolves central and local marketing plans. Your role is to be the senior member of the team to coordinate and deliver the marketing plan across all our current channels including PR & Social media.
Description
You will love working in a fast paced retail environment and ideally have management experience from UK retailers
You will be the commercial marketing lead, planning the trade and promotional calendar alongside the category team.
You will be leading the marketing plan for seasonal activity; able to drive performance, model ROI and deliver high performing offline and online marketing activity to attract new customers and increase spend/frequency/footfall
You will be able to plan and deliver across the complete customer journey and can plan and execute campaigns/activations across all channels touch points
You will be able to turn gritty trade plans into creative and compelling campaigns
You will love old school retail and understand how it operates but also recognise how the business would need to evolve to be truly omnichannel
Overall you will need to love retail and have an excellent knowledge of the sector
Profile
You will be customer centric and highly numerate and organised "planner" and brilliant at delivery
You can write clear briefs that focus on clear customer and commercial objectives for both internal teams and agencies. You will have strong agency management experience
You will need to be a great leader, good at working collaboratively with other teams but also able to develop the more junior members of the team
You will be a confident communicator, able to be direct when required but also have that "of course we can" attitude
You must be curious and love watching other retail sectors for inspiration. You are obviously a great team player and experienced line manager
You havea strong understanding of digital and are likely to be already operating at this level but wanting a fresh challenge and one where you can improve everything from KPI's, planning process and delivery
Previous professional marketing experience across UK retail executing marketing campaigns - either client or agency side.
