Our client, a nationwide supplier of facilities maintenance services with over 34 years' experience delivering M&E building services maintenance to the corporate, healthcare, education, retail, transport and manufacturing sectors across the UK, is looking to add a Contracts Manager to their existing Team.

The Role
The role of the Contract Manager will be to supervise, plan, and co-ordinate all aspects of System Operations, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, M&E and Small Project Works. The successful candidate would be expected to be operationally hands on where necessary as well as having full managerial responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

* Responsible for the day to day running of the M&E building services, organising the site team and supply chain.

* Maintain customer relations including progress meeting, site visits, and obtaining referrals.

* Managing and having full accountability for the Profit and Loss (P&L) and maintaining agreed profit margins.

* Managing a team of engineers and contract support workers effectively to maximize the performance of the company.

* Assist in the preparation of standard operating procedures, emergency and contingency plans.

* Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and regularly review the H&S policy.

* Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of the contract are exploited, to deliver increased turnover and profitability, and make sure that contracts are re-won on re-tender.

* Provide an environment conducive to learning, and ensure basic training needs are delivered, employees are fully competent to undertake their roles, and are able to reach their full potential.

* Ensure contracts are staffed by fully competent teams and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place.

Skills and experience:

* An understanding of M&E maintenance.

* Ability to manage P&L, WiP and debt

* Obtained a technical degree or completed an apprenticeship in either electrical or mechanical engineering

* Data Centre critical environment experience

* A good working knowledge of assets such as Plumbing, HVAC systems, Controls, and Refrigeration with Health & Safety qualifications like IOSH/NEBOSH or a relevant H&S Qualification

* Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK and have a full clean driving licence

The Rewards
The company offer organic growth and the successful candidate will be given full support towards continued professional development. A salary of £52,000 to £55,000 per annum is offered with a car, healthcare, pension and company benefits.
