IT Infrastructure and Telephony Manager
Up to £750 per day - Inside IR35 via Umbrella
URGENT role starting ASAP and will be an initial 3 month contract
Role based in Guildford but currently fully remote due to Covid

This is an urgent role that requires the successful candidate to be available to start work immediately so if you are on anything more than a 1 week notice it will be too long.

Working for a Global Financial Services (Insurance) company we are looking for a highly experienced IT Infrastructure & Telephony Manager to ensure the business functions are optimised and working in a collaborative, productive way.

This role governs, organises and manages the outsourced operation of the organisation's IT workplace services. This will entail developing, maintaining, supporting and optimising operating systems and telecommunication systems including associated hardware, software and tools.

As the IT Infrastructure Workplace and Telephony Manager you will collaborate with third party suppliers responsible for the delivery of workplace operations and support services to ensure services remain available, secure and meet the needs of the business.

Key aspects of the role include:-

Governance and management of Suppliers and Outsource Partners to deliver a high quality Workplace experience.
Ownership and maintenance of the IT Workplace, support activities and Tools of the company's IT service catalogue and Service Levels
Governance and Management of Workplace software via the Desktop Software Advisory Board (DSAB)
Governance and Management of the IT Workplace Asset Management Activities
Key contribution to the delivery of IT workplace Roadmap & IT Workplace Projects
Telephony Availability and Capacity Reporting Governance and Management of Telephony software via the Telephony Advisory Board (DSAB)
Governance and Management of the Telephony Asset Management Activities
Key contribution to the delivery of IT Telephony Roadmap & IT Telephony Projects
IT Telephony Availability and Capacity Reporting
In conjunction with IT Service Continuity Management, IT Infrastructure Disaster Recovery Planning and Testing
Working closely with IT Security Operations to ensure the security of IT Workplace systems
IT Workplace Risk and Control management
Working closely with the Head of Infrastructure Delivery, IT Director, the UK Architecture team and Technology Technical Consultants

Required skills and experience:-

Deep understanding of IT workplace, Telephony, data centre, network and telecommunications infrastructure architectures and operations both within the insurance and market generally
Understanding of workplace collaboration tools
Understanding of IT risk management processes
Management of third parties - especially offshore
Deep understanding of outsource vendor governance and management practices
Deep understanding of IT security management processes, practices and technology.
Extensive experience in enterprise security architecture design.
IT contract & License management and negotiation
Maintaining technical service documentation
Ideally experience from a Financial Services or Insurance background but we can be open
