Interim Project Manager

Overview of the project: Developing a model for community care - this is a 2 day per week role

The project's purpose is to transform the way our client delivers care for non-bed patients (those patients not receiving inpatient care).

The goals are to:
  1. Reach more people who need us and improve their experience of care
  2. Retain an Integrated Disciplinary Team approach based on the principles of individualised specialist palliative care whilst making the best use of staff time and expertise
  3. Develop a more business-like approach to community services that enables us to better demonstrate our impact and make a compelling business case for support from funders and the NHS

The role:

My client is looking for an experienced project manager (PM) to join the team to develop and start delivering the project for a period of 3-6 months. The PM will be tasked with re-establishing the project framework, project governance and developing succinct project documentation. The PM will also be asked to prioritise supporting the delivery of several time critical workstreams relating to redesign of patient pathways.

Your experience:

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
  • Experienced project management
  • Experience of working with a healthcare provider, ideally with community or hospice services
  • Excellent communications skills: written, verbal and listening
  • Strong inter-personal skills, able to build positive working relationships quickly
  • Proactive, can-do attitude
  • Demonstrable change delivered by projects you have delivered
