Torque Consulting are currently seeking an EHS Manager for a client of our based near Ormskirk. Our client is a business that deliveries their product all over the globe.

Our Client delivers capital projects throughout the group globally from new greenfield plants, major shutdown and overhaul projects on existing plants to technical support to the manufacturing operations.
A vacancy has arisen for an EHS Manager reporting to the Global EHS Manager. The purpose of the role is to implement the Health, Safety and Environmental strategy to effectively manage Architectural Engineering projects in line withour clients standards and targets. Also, act as advisor on EHS in design and construction, advising all business functions on aspects of best practice and cultural solutions.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Develop Architectural engineering projects from feasibility through gate process to ensure adequate EHS controls are in place and successfully managed on projects.

Ensure reactive learning is incorporated into design to manage root cause issues.

Implementation and provision of dynamic tools which can be used in different cultures to drive continual

improvement for EHS.

Protecting the client against Environmental liability through gate process.

Production of monthly reports against safety metrics for Architectural engineering globally

Maintenance of project handbook EHS pages, lessons learned data base and all other associated

documentation.

Owner of rules and procedures to enhance safety of future projects.

Key skills

NEBOSH or equivalent qualification

Chartered or working towards chartership

Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction H&S

Ideally have engineering qualification or appreciation of engineering functionality

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Must be able to undertake global travel assignments, sometimes for extended periods
