Located in Bournemouth but within easy reach of Basingstoke, Southampton, Portsmouth etc my client is a Rapidly growing AIM listed business with plans for ongoing acquisitions and who requires a Finance Director to support a dynamic CFO and high calibre leadership team.

This appointment will deliver the finance structure, reporting and analysis needed to support the growth, lead the partnering of finance within the Group, lead future M&A and play an important role in delivering the financial and operational performance needed to achieve the strategic objectives.

Job Description

· Lead the production of robust and insightful monthly MI to enhance operational and commercial decisions, ensure the financial performance is consistent with the operational performance, and produce the financial Board pack.

· Lead and develop the entire finance function to ensure that the structure, systems and processes are fit for a growth orientated AIM listed Group.

· Lead the production of the Groups budgets and forecasts ensuring timely participation of budget holders, awareness of the financial targets underpinning the budget, managing the process to approval by the PLC Board and supporting the communications across the Group.

· Lead the production of the statutory accounts across the Group, the Annual Report and Interim Financial Statements.

· Be responsible for the management of the Groups audit, provision of information to the auditors and delivery of explanations where required.

· Support the production of statements made via the RNS process operated by the London Stock Exchange.

· Lead the treasury function, production of covenant reports, be a primary contact for lenders and ensure compliance with the requirements of facility agreements.

· Lead compliance with UK tax laws and tax reporting.

· Lead M&A work from a financial and tax perspective working alongside the Head of Legal and external advisors.

· Play a key role in evaluating opportunities alongside the senior leadership team, negotiating terms and assisting implementation.

· Work with the Company Secretary and operational team to identify risks for the Group.

The Successful Applicant

· Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA)

· Experience as a Finance Director or ambitious senior financial controller or head of finance with gravitas working ideally in a quoted company.

· Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrable ability to add value and partner the senior leadership team.

· A leader by example, able to motivate and drive performance within the finance team. Not shy of rolling your sleeves up and supporting where required.

· Strong communicator who has demonstrable experience of influencing and persuading at a senior level.

· Able to develop excellent working relationships across the Group.

· Strong organisational and time management skills.

· A positive "can do" attitude and a supportive team player.

· Probing and enquiring mind, prepared to challenge information received and assess its impact.

· Proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.

· Happy to travel across the UK in supporting the growth ambitions.

· Ideally, experience of working for a listed company.
