We are seeking experience with database technology (Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB) preferably in a managed environment.

Responsible for the definition, development, and delivery of next-generation managed IT services. This role engages and communicates with stakeholders throughout the business, including Customers, other Product Management teams, Product Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Legal, and successfully executes on a defined strategy. Owns the success of the product suite and the P&L.

Responsibilities:
  1. Engage with Customers to empathize and build an understanding of their problems and needs for hybrid cloud and colocation managed services.
  2. Facilitate ideation with cross-functional teams, develop prototypes (e.g., service concepts), and test with Customers to gather feedback, iterating towards a desirable, feasible, and viable solution.
  3. Define product requirements for new products, features, and use cases; define acceptance criteria for each.
  4. Own development across the entire product lifecycle phases - product definition, development, delivery, deployment, and optimization.
  5. Coordinate closely with engineering and program leads to ensure alignment between technical, business, and field teams on product features and releases. Prioritize and groom the backlog and assist in sprint planning.
  6. Keep up to date on technology and market trends; identify and evaluate new product ideas or strategic product extensions.
  7. Work closely with partners to deliver your products/solutions.
  8. Keep track of product performance through data collection and analysis; build and maintain dashboards to maintain product use and performance.
  9. Develop and deliver (in collaboration with Sales) compelling presentations, demos, sample solutions, blogs, and other content and discussions to help drive awareness and adoption.
  10. Drive insights from interactions to iterate the managed services roadmap.
  11. Support Sales and Product Marketing efforts with creating technology collateral, white papers, including competitive positioning and demand generation activities.
  12. Own your P&L and drive positive success.


Profile:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Essential.
  • Vendor or industry accreditations desirable. Desirable.
  • IT Qualifications and Certifications advantageous. Essential.
  • Minimum 5-7 years Product Management and or technical work experience in service provider, managed services, cloud, applications and databases, or data center. Essential.
  • Strong understanding of data center market dynamics with focus on service provider business end markets. Essential.
  • Working knowledge of the technology components of managed services (e.g., physical & virtual servers, storage, networking, operating systems, and security). Essential.
  • A deep understanding of managed services, including applications, database, containers, and microservices. Essential.
  • Experience of Microsoft SQL, MongoDB, MySQL, and Oracle database engines. Essential.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipeline. Essential.
  • Experience in Agile development processes. Essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud delivered applications and platforms - Private/AWS/Azure/Google. Essential.
  • Track record in leading end-to-end deliveries of high-quality products and experiences. Essential.
  • Entrepreneurial and curious, able to change thinking. Essential.
  • A high-level Customer facing role, the person needs to encompass the disposition of a customer facing staff member to handle internal customers, suppliers and partners. Essential.
  • Professional disposition. Essential.
  • Ability to perform within a closely-knit team and improve the execution of your teammates. Essential.
  • A self-motivated & quick learner ready to dig in. Essential.
  • Data literate and comfortable with data collection (including primary research) and analysis/critical thinking. Essential.

  • Experience of human-centered design processes, e.g., Design Thinking. Desirable.
  • Willing to travel (25%). Essential.
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the UK and complete BS 7858 British standard screening prior to joining company. Essential.
