As a result of school closures in response to COVID-19, many children's education has suffered. To combat this, the government have allocated £1bn worth of funding to schools, to provide tuition for students who have fallen behind academically.
As a Primary KS2 Tutor, you will be working closely (in-person) with KS2 students either 1:1 or in small groups. This will be comprised of various 1-2-hour slots or morning and/or afternoon blocked sessions from Monday to Thursday between 2:45 and 4:45. You will additionally be responsible for completing tutor reports for your pupils on a weekly basis. This role will run for a period of 15-weeks with each group receiving an hour of tuition each week. Depending on experience, you could earn between £25 and £35 per hour. Roles may lead to long-term or permanent Teaching Assistant/Intervention Teacher jobs.
We ideally require a tutor who has the following:
- An FQT, living in or around the Blackburn area
- Familiarity working withinPrimary schools or alternatively Primary school level tutoring jobs
- Strong subject knowledge of KS2 Math's and English
- Patience coupled with the ability to engage a room, small- group or single student
