I am currently seeking a lively an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a highly regarded Pupils Referral Unit based in Barnet, North London.

Person Specification - English Teacher

For this post, you must be a conscientious and versatile English Teacher who has experience of working in an inner city school or PRU. The dedication to go beyond what is expected of you in order to help your pupils is a key requirement of being an English Teacher at this school. The school needs an English Teacher who has the skills and adaptability to overcome the various challenges that arise when working with pupils who have difficulty with disruption and behaviour. The Headteacher wants to recruit an English Teacher with the skills to respond to problems in a professional, methodical way that allows them to support the development of all of students. You will be supported during the role with the help of a great SLT and experienced learning support team.

About the Role - English Teacher

As an English Teacher your role will involve you joining a community-feel school and English Department. You will benefit from the support of a highly capable teaching assistant in all your lessons and work under a leadership team who understand the importance of CPD and career direction.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Must have QTS
  • Must have a clear & current DBS
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience of previously teaching in a PRU environment (desirable but not essential)
