Senior Finance Executive
  • Location: Vauxhall, SW8
  • Sector: Hotel, Property, Serviced Apartments
  • Salary: £28-30,000

Key responsibilities
  • Daily Bank Reconciliation of different currency bank accounts
  • Credit Card reconciliation
  • Payroll- Monthly expense reconciliation and setting up salary payment in bank, adding new employee details on Sage Payroll and HR online
  • Purchase order - reconciliation and posting of invoice.
  • Invoices - Post supplier, commissions invoices on Xero system.
  • Assist reporting manager with vat queries/corrections for vat filing
  • Supplier ledger reconciliation
  • Prepare creditors aging report on weekly basis.
  • Payments - Make supplier payments according to cash flow and refund guest deposits.
  • Intercompany - Maintain the intercompany ledgers and post all intercompany related invoices.
  • Income statements - Prepare monthly income statements for Managing agents/ landlord based on the contract and arrange rent payments as per leases.
  • Recharge - raise recharge invoices for expenses incurred on behalf of Landlord or Managing Agents.
  • Utility/Council Tax - Ensure the renewal of contracts, reconciling the utility bills and setting up new accounts for new portfolios.
  • Month End - Reconcile supplier ledgers and posting manual journals, example prepayment, accruals, payroll, and correction journals.
  • Month End - supplier balance sheet ledger reconciliations.
  • Actively participate in monthly management accounts preparation
  • Communicate and provide all required supporting documents for annual audit function.

Skills and experience
  • CIMA/ACCA Part Qualified OR equivalent
  • Proactive with high standards
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within the Finance Department of a serviced apartments or hotel business
  • Strong IT skills and experience of hotel and accounting systems
  • Working knowledge of Xero accounting system
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail &Prioritisation skills - regarding workload
  • Advance Excel skills
