An exciting opportunity has arisen within East Ayrshires Adult Mental Health Team (PCMHT) for the role of Team Leader. The role requires an experienced health professional with a professional qualification e.g. nursing, who is educated to degree level and who can demonstrate continuing professional development which will enable them to provide effective leadership and management within an Adult Mental Health Team. The successful candidate would benefit from being able to demonstrate experience of providing clinical management at ward / community level whilst being experienced in working in a multidisciplinary / agency setting.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a higher level of clinical competence, providing clinical input to a defined Adult Mental Health caseload, providing assessment and treatment to individuals with mental health difficulties. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate clinical experience of delivering care to individuals with mental health problems. As such you will be able to supervise, manage and lead a team of experienced multi-disciplinary team professionals.
The post holder will require to provide ongoing support to the multi-disciplinary team in delivering a secondary care mental health service and be responsible for ensuring they deliver person centred, outcome focused and efficient service for people with mental health problems.
The post also requires that you take responsibility for supporting wider systems to ensure clinical and service governance activity. This will include the setting and monitoring of standards of care and service, investigating complaints, providing staff support, clinical supervision, implementation of policy, clinical guidelines, research and audit.
The successful candidate will ensure the Adult Mental Health Team has effective partnership arrangements in place with local authorities, service users / carers and voluntary groups to support effective multi-agency working within the service and thereby deliver effective planned care.
