Working for a global 5-star company as an Accounts Assistant within the Property and housing industry based in Milton Keynes with flexibility around hybrid working.

Client Details

Our client is a global company within the property and housing industry working hand-in-hand with a range of other property companies. This large business is known as a 5-star rating company, with a wide range of skills, experience, and background. They are currently searching for an Accounts Assistant to join their company on a temporary basis.

Description

As an Accounts Assistant, your main duties would consist of:
  • Assisting the Finance Director, Finance Manager and the Team in processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions.
  • Producing and reviewing of all aspects of sales reporting
  • Collecting and entering data for various financial spreadsheets
  • Updating systems with plot data
  • Reviewing/agreeing final completion accounts; liaising with solicitors as and when required
  • Reconciling completion statements
  • Creating and posting completion journals
  • Performing routine checks and reconciliations i.e. plot balances
  • Cash book reconciliation
  • Processing PO's & invoices
  • Assisting with accounting, providing supporting documentation when required
  • Processing sundry payments
  • Answering questions and providing assistance to other departments
  • Supporting the team during the full year and half year audits
  • Posting of routine monthly journals
  • Liaising with the Help to Buy team, keeping them updated with exchanges and completions, to ensure timely collection of help to buy funds.

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant will:
  • Be studying towards their AAT qualification
  • Behave in line with company values
  • Have very good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Have good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have very good mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Be computer literate particularly with spreadsheets and bespoke software's
  • Have an understanding of the data privacy standards
