Lead Content Designer required to work with a Government department. This is a 10 month contract, paying £600 per day, inside IR35, remote
You will work alongside other profession leads and the senior management team to support content designers, solve business challenges and implement strategic initiatives.
You will lead the content community (around 20 content designers) and collaborate with the Head of Content to support and develop the wider content community of practice
You will recruit and onboard new starters and line manage up to 6 content designers, supporting them in their content work and their professional learning and development.
You will oversee all digital content, ensuring it is consistent, user-focused, accurate, accessible and meets relevant guidelines.
Strategic outcomes of this role may include:
*Supporting the style guide project
*Ensure consistency and quality of content across delivery teams
*Improve learning and development opportunities for content designers
*Support standards through training and service assessments
*Raise the profile of content design in the department
Essential Skill and Experience Required:
*Be an expert in user-centred content design
*Experience working in digital & technology within government
*Experience leading a content design community
*Have a good understanding of how to resource and support multidisciplinary teams in their delivery
*Be confident recruiting, line managing and mentoring
*Have excellent presentation skills and experience persuading business leads and stakeholders
*Be comfortable using evidence, data and research to back up your decisions
*Be confident defining and implementing strategic goals
*Stay up to date with the latest content and digital trends, ensuring our solutions respond accordingly
